Member finance under the Souharda framework
Eisar Credit Souharda Cooperative identifies its office in Bhatkal and states that it is registered under Karnataka’s Souharda legislation. Its published purpose is to serve members through interest-free savings and finance, including recovery of operating costs. The loans page describes gold-backed advances, asset acquisition, self-help-group finance and other contractual formats. These categories are not interchangeable: a cash advance secured by gold creates different obligations from buying an asset at an agreed marked-up price. The society’s own description is a starting point for examining a proposed contract, not independent certification of every listed arrangement.
Clarify security, ownership and recoverable balances
Ask which specific Eisar product is available for your need and obtain the applicable membership and shareholding requirements in writing. For a gold-backed transaction, examine valuation, custody, repayment, release and the process if obligations are missed. For an asset purchase or lease, identify when ownership transfers, which costs belong to each party and what happens at completion. Request a complete schedule of charges rather than equating interest-free with cost-free. Confirm which amounts are refundable shares or deposits and which are final expenses, then compare the total commitment with the income available to meet it.
